Snoring Issues

Silent Nite

Snoring is caused during sleep when the muscles and soft tissues in the throat and mouth relax, causing the breathing airway to become smaller.  The velocity of air flowing through this constricted airway during breathing, causes soft tissues like the soft palate and the uvula to vibrate, resulting in “noisy breathing” or snoring.

Silent Nite is a transparent flexible upper and lower device worn while you sleep to prevent snoring.  The Silent Nite moves the lower jaw into a forward position using special connectors that are attached to both the upper and lower device.  By positioning the lower jaw into a forward position, the three-dimensional space in the airway tube is increased, reducing the air velocity and soft tissue vibration and eliminating snoring.

The success of snoring prevention, from the use of a Silent Nite device, ranges between 70 to 100%.

Reasons for getting a Silent Nite:

  • Not getting a deep, restful sleep.
  • Spouses or children disturbed during sleep cycles, leading to tension and animosity.
  • Snoring can kill you by raising your blood pressure, damaging the walls of the carotid arteries and increasing the risk of stroke.

One third of the population snores.
